My mom and dad took me for a walk this afternoon. When I got out the front door I was immediately blinded by a brilliant, long-forgotten experience:
It was the sun! We continued our forage into the unknown. Hey, the driveway is black again!
I checked out where our new, expanded garden is going to be. I’ve been working so hard to make sure the seedlings will be ready.
No rush on that. But still, things are looking up. We made it past 50 degrees! Here’s a picture of me lounging on our bench while surveying the front forest area:
That is NOT my tail at the bottom. That is my right rear leg holding me steady. Have you ever witnessed such agility, balance and flexibility? I’m expecting a call from Cirque du Soleil at any moment.
There’s only one downside to this increase in temperature. Mom turned off the heat. So, here I am soaking up the last little bit of the wonderfully warm floors:
The Sox took the series with Tampa Bay. Life is good. I love you!
Minnie –
Don’t tell your mom, but we went right to summer today!! The thermometer in our kitchen said it was 85 outside!! And that was in the shade!! The only problem with that much heat is bad storms. We didn’t have any right by us, but there were quite a few tornadoes in Iowa this weekend. Your cousin Reed wasn’t looking for a warm place to lay on the floor after playing outside – he was looking for the cool basement floor to lay on!! Hopefully we send some of our warmer weather your way, but without the bad storms. We’ll do our best!! Monday will be about thirty degrees cooler, so we’ll be back about where you are weather wise!!
Love your Iowa Cousins!!
