I had a busy week leading up to Labor Day (the unofficial end of summer). It started with Mom making lots of blackberry jelly and tomato sauce, which meant I was on constant floor duty. I must say I prefer the jelly.
Then Mom got ready for the church’s annual rummage sale. Not much of an added responsibility for me except for monitoring her contributions. Don’t give my toy basket away, even if I don’t use it much anymore!
And now she’s getting ready for the first day of preschool, which is Wednesday.
Here’s what my dad accomplished this Labor Day weekend:
Look at that beautiful ceiling! He got the ping-pong side of it finished. That was really important, because one of Mom’s piano students LOVES to play ping-pong after his lesson. Of course, this creates a problem for the student who LOVES to play pool, because the pool table is on the other side, and that’s next. Hmm….I wonder why Mom didn’t take a picture of me on the pool table?
I hope all of you were able to enjoy a day off of work. I know my brother couldn’t. Sometimes it sucks to be human. At least HE could eat bacon, if he wasn’t a vegetarian.
I love you!
