I’ve heard that as one ages, one shouldn’t stay in the same rut or routine. Instead, mixing it up every now and then helps keeps your brain healthy as one gets older.
Sounds like good advice. I decided to act on it this morning.
I usually get going around 7:00 a.m. However, if I start my day closer to 6:00, I usually go into the dining room and throw up. I guess it’s a dog thing. But this morning, I decided to mix it up and take a pee on the rug, instead.
No Alzheimer’s today!
Before I got sick with (supposed) liver failure, such a change in my routine would’ve resulted in a smack from Mom accompanied with lots of yelling. But today, all she did was sigh and say “Way to go, Minn” (get it?). After all, are you going to wail away on this pup?
Being 100 years young has its advantages. Time for my beauty nap:
Mom was trying to vacuum the rug after she cleaned it. I didn’t even flinch when Mom got close to me. She had to turn off the vacuum and walk away:
Being deaf has its advantages. I love you!
