Our land-line phone connection isn’t working, so if anyone in Washington or Hollywood wants to bark at me, you need to call me on my cell:
And why do I want to work for Verizon? I’ll tell you in a minute. Right now, I have something FAR more important to say:
I hope my brother makes the day special for you – you deserve it.
I’ve been in an very happy mood because OLIVE IS COMING TO VISIT!!!!! And Courtney and Mike, too, but OLIVE IS COMING TO VISIT!!!!
She’s They’re coming on Friday! I just can’t stop doing the happy dance.
Okay, back to Verizon. So Mom calls them to report the outage and schedule a time for a tech to come out. “Minn,” says she, “we’ll have to stay home all morning long or all afternoon long on whatever day they can get here. And it can’t be a preschool day”.
Oh sure. All morning or all afternoon? How about ALL DAY LONG, as in anytime from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Yep, that’s the smallest time frame Verizon offers. They must be socialists, because a big-business capitalistic company would do a better job.
Well, that’s okay. They’re coming out sometime on Thursday, and we can use the down-time to get ready for Olive’s visit. Wait a minute…..let’s check out my food supply:
I see three bags in there. I’m covered for today, so that leaves Monday……Tuesday……Wednesday……Yikes!!!! There’s nothing for Thursday!
What’s going to happen to me? We have to spend that day waiting for Verizon to show up……sometime. Oh, the humanity.
I love you!
